We will decide to stay. We need some rest and we trust the doctor. He is a skin specialist and the care he will provide is second to none. The next month however will pretty much feel like the movie “groundhog day”… It will feel like we are living the same day over and over again.
We get up around 11, eat, get ready to go to the doctor, take the subway, hear Côme screaming at the doctor’s because of the painful treatment he’s receiving and go back home. Then, we watch some cartoons, draw, cook, play board games, study, try to rest… Doo goes grocery shopping. And repeat the next day, and the day after, and the next one…
Côme will not be able to walk until a couple of days before Christmas as for Julia, it will take until January the 16th for her to be able to walk with clutches.
Thankfully, we are going to the doctor on a wheelchair. Hyemi was able to find us one on the very first day. It would have been otherwise very difficult to go to the clinic. Hyemi will also generously give us some winter clothes for Côme and help us to communicate with the medical staff by coming to the clinic once a week. The doctor and nurse at the clinic will be amazing and do so much for us.
The next weeks will be rough for us. Fortunately we will have a couple of good laughs amongst which one we will always remember…
We were on our way back from the clinic, in the metro. Doo had just left Julia and Côme in a corner by the turnstiles while he was buying the tickets. An old woman then approached them and gave Julia a 10,000 Won bill (that’s about 7€). Julia tried to give it back but the lady was not having it. At that moment, Doo came back with the tickets and Julia gave him the bill urging him to give it back to the woman. So Doo gave back the bill while thanking her for the gesture. Then it’s all laughs and fun for a good 5 minutes. Doo mocked Julia for looking like a refugee and pondered the idea to pay the medical bill with this method. We obviously take a picture to show you what the refugees looked like… 😅 From time to time, Doo will leave Julia in a corner just for laughs…
